HCDE sets a calendar each year that includes school year holidays and start and end dates for most districts.
Thanksgiving is celebrated on Nov. 21-25 in all areas. Winter holidays start on December 19 in some areas and end on January 6 in some areas. Most districts will return to school on January 2.

All districts will observe spring break March 13-17, except for the New Kenny Independent School District, which will observe spring break April 10-14.
