Socorro Isd Calendar 2023-24 – The Spring ISD Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved the 2021-22 school calendar, which calls for students to begin classes on Aug. 11, 2021, and end on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
4, the approved schedule was one of two options presented in a survey of more than 100 employees and the community. Both options are similar, except for a slight difference in the start and end dates of the school year and spring break.

"Among our community members, campus staff, parents and students, Option B is the preferred option and will certainly be considered by our committee in making its final decision."

Specifically, according to the approved calendar, winter vacation begins on December 17th after a half-day of instruction for students and ends with the return to school on Tuesday, January 4th. After half a day's notice, spring break will begin on March 11th and classes will begin on Monday, March 21st.
Throughout the year, students have their first afternoon release days on October 8, December 17, March 11 and May 26 for teacher preparation activities. Early release days on September 17th and February 11th allow for evening parent meetings.
The Spring ISD Advisory Committee (ACE), made up of staff and faculty, provided input and guidance on a community survey before the two calendar proposals were presented to the public. Both options meet all state requirements for instructional time, including 180 days of 440 instruction to supplement make-up days if necessary.
