Washington County Water Conservancy District – The district operates two water conservation gardens in St. George. Gardens serve as educational, social and recreational amenities for public use. The gardens are open every day, during daylight hours. Gardening workshops run by the county are often held in gardens and cover a wide range of topics. See the seminar schedule here. Throughout the garden, the water-saving landscape is marked with nameplates and scannable codes, allowing guests to learn more about the various plants, trees and shrubs. Gardens are an example of how to incorporate native and climate-appropriate vegetation to make a landscape both beautiful and smart.

The nearly five-acre garden features 5,000 water-efficient plants, a replica canyon, clear acrylic panels showcasing rare and endangered local fish, an exhibit of excavated dinosaur footprints and other prehistoric trace fossils found on site, winding trails , shade structures and more, all set in a scenic location with Washington County's signature red hills to the north and panoramic city views to the south.

The garden, which opened in 2015, is funded and supported by the Washington County Water Conservancy in partnership with the City of St. George and the Virgin River Program.
The Garden at Tonaquint Park is a two-acre demonstration garden designed to showcase water-efficient landscaping while educating community members about water conservation, growing/planting/pruning tips, best irrigation practices, native and climate-appropriate vegetation types, and more. .
The garden, which was dedicated in 2002, is funded and maintained by the Washington County Water Conservation District in partnership with the City of St. George.
