Hcc Academic Calendar 2023 – The Houston Independent School District Board of Education has approved a proposed 2022-2023 school calendar that adds an additional spring break in April and moves the last day of the first term to the day before winter break.
This schedule consists of one week of Thanksgiving break, two weeks of winter break, and one week of spring break. Students and staff will be closed on Labor Day, MLK Day, Chavez-Huerta Day and Memorial Day. HISD will also celebrate its fall festival on October 5th and two spring festivals on April 7th and 21st.

The dollars provide support in three areas: staffing for quality after-school education, technical assistance for planning and implementing after-school programs, and effective training for after-school programs.
