Klein ISD is requesting comments on two proposals for the 2021-2022 school year. academic calendar Staff, carers, students, community members and other interested parties are invited to take part in an online survey from 1 December. until December 13 to provide feedback on their preferred approach. The Klein Oak baseball team will now wear the Kailee Mills Foundation ribbon on their baseball caps and helmets to show their support for the nonprofit's work to promote seat belt awareness and help families who have lost loved ones in car accidents.

The fund was created in memory of Kailee Mills, who died in a car accident in 2017 after briefly unbuckling her seat belt.
The Kailee Mills Foundation has invited the Klein Oak baseball team to donate to its annual golf fundraiser, according to an official release. Although the club has not been able to make donations this year, it has decided to contribute.
Wearing the base on team hats and caps represents awareness not only for the Klein Oak players, but also for the fans and other teams.

"I know our students are starting to drive and they need to understand the importance of seat belts," coach Bo Hernandez said in a statement. "The Kailee Mills Foundation empowers our students to articulate and understand the importance of their everyday decisions and how they can affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones."

Klein Cain FFA and Agricultural Science students will be donating various items to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homeless Assistance Unit. The group decided to launch the project as a way to reach out to the community during the COVID-19 crisis, the government said in a statement.
"With COVID-19, we can't go out and shake hands or do things individually, so whenever me, the FFA advisors, and the FFA members get together, we thought it would be a good idea to help- us in the way we could." we would collect all the tools that everyone needs right now and give them away," Klein Cain FFA Chapter President and Treasurer Bella Garcia said in a statement.
Homeless Services collected donated items from students at Klein Cain School and presented the students with a token of appreciation.

"Covid-19 has created a difficult time for everyone, not just those who have it, but also those who don't," Klein Cain FFA President Ashley Johnson said in a statement. "I think by coming together we've created an environment where we can all help each other, so I hope this project leaves everyone happy and gives us a real sense of community."
LaToya Patterson, assistant principal at Anderson Elementary, has been named Region 4 president for 2020-2021 by the Texas Association of Elementary Principals and Superintendents, according to a spring ISD news release.
"Patterson was nominated earlier this year by his colleagues at TEPSA," the statement said. "In this role, he will support the organization's mission to empower educational leaders to 'learn from each other,'" as he begins his 2021-2022 term as Region 4 chair next year.

Next spring's ISD Principal, Lorena Zertuche, will also be a member of the TEPSA Board of Directors. Zertuche is the Chair-Elect of the TEPSA Board of Trustees and the Spring ISD Team Innovation Coordinator.
"We are very proud to have TEPSA district directors," said Superintendent Dr. Rodney E. Watson said in a press release, "And we are so excited to see one of our local leaders represent Spring ISD and do such a great job for our students and fellow teachers here in District 4 and across the state" .

A total of 13,698 calendar responses were received, with option 1 receiving 25% of the votes, option 2 13% and option 3 the most popular with 61% of the votes.
